Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Groups

Part of the comprehensive DBT program is the skills-building group. These groups meet weekly for 1.5 hours in addition to the individual group. There is a 24 week commitment to the DBT skills group. 

The following groups are currently being offered:

1. DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) Skills Group: For teens 12 to 18. This groups covers skills in the following domains: Mindfulness, interpersonal interactions, emotional regulations, and distress tolerance. There will be two groups available in person beginning in September 2021. 

2. Coming Soon! Parent DBT Group. This group will be virtual beginning September 2021. 

3. Short-term DBT-Based Skills Groups for ages 6 to 15. This group is limited to patients of Advocare Fairmount Pediatrics and are conducted in-person at Dr. Lieberman's office. This group is not part of the comprehensive DBT program and is not appropriate for participants who are actively struggling with suicidal ideation or self-harm.
